Accepted Source of Wealth and Income

Rain is committed to maintaining account integrity by following industry best practices. As a licensed and regulated entity by the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB), we are required to request Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) documents from users.

Source of Income

A Source of Income official document shows the origin of your income. It must include your name, date, and issuing authority/company.

Accepted Source of Income Documents:

1. Salary:

   • Payslip (no older than 3 months)

   • Salary Certificate (no older than 3 months)

   • Employment Contract

   • Bank statement showing the payment or income

2. Business Income/Profits:

   • Business tax return

   • Tax statement for self-employed

   • Financial statement and ownership document of the business

   • Business account bank statement (no older than 3 months) and ownership document

3. Pension:

   • Pension details

   • Fund Statement (if available)

   • Bank statement showing the payment

4. Government Benefits:

   • Details of the benefits

   • Bank statement showing the payment

5. Income from Investments (Such as, shares, bonds, sukuk, etc.):

   • Payment receipts with buyer and seller details

   • Bank statement showing the payment

6. Income from Sale of Real Estate or Property:

   • Contract of sale

   • Land registry/certificate of title (or equivalent)

   • Letter from a real estate agent or lawyer confirming the sale

   • Bank statement showing the payment

7. Income from Renting/Leasing:

   • Rental agreement

   • Bank statement showing the payment

Source of Wealth

A Source of Wealth document or set of documents shows the origin of your entire wealth, including all assets.

Accepted Source of Wealth Documents:

1. Family/Generational Wealth and Personal Background:

   • Inheritance

   • Gifts from family (including spouse/partner)

   • Divorce or lawsuit settlements

   • Pension or retirement benefit pay-outs

   • Lottery wins

   • Real estate owned

   • Artwork

2. Income, Revenue, and Business Activities:

   • Business ownership

   • Employment income

   • Sales of products or business properties

   • Bonuses or commissions

   • Retirement scheme payouts

   • Salary

3. Investment Activities:

   • Acquisitions

   • Sale of investments (e.g., securities, royalties, patents)

Ensure all documents provided are recent and clearly show the required personal information.
