How to verify your identity

To ensure account security and to comply with Central Bank of Bahrain’s (CBB) regulations, Rain requires all customers to complete an identity verification process. This process helps us maintain the integrity of our platform while protecting your account.

Here’s what you will need to verify your identity:

  • If you are a citizen of a GCC country:

    • Two forms of original government issued identification document (passport, national ID, birth certificate, family card, or driver’s license)

    • Selfie recording

  • If you are a resident of a GCC country:

    • Two forms of original government issued identification (passport and residency card) 

    • Selfie recording

Follow the below steps to verify your identity:

  1. Verify your phone number
    After verifying your phone number, proceed to identity verification.

  2. Choose your document type
    Select the type of government issued document you will submit.

  3. Submit your documents

    • Take clear, high quality photos of your original documents.

    • Ensure there is no blur or glare on the images.

    • Make sure you take a picture of the original document. Scans are not accepted.

  4. Complete video verification
    After submitting your documents, you will need to complete a video verification.

Processing time:

Once your documents are submitted, it takes up to 24 hours for Rain to review your application. You will receive an email notification once your account is approved.
