Receive Ethereum

Receiving Ethereum (ETH) from an external address to your Rain account can be done via a QR code or by using your Rain account Ethereum address. 

 

Requirements: 

  1. Rain account. You will need a Rain account to receive ETH.
  2. Rain ETH address. You will need your Rain ETH address in order to receive ETH.

If you want to receive Ethereum using the Rain app,See below for a step by step guide.

 

NOTE: Please ensure to transfer your ETH through the ETH network only.

 

Steps (Rain website): 

  1. Log in to your Rain account. 
  2. Click on Portfolio.
  3. Click on Receive. 

There are two ways to receive Ethereum in your Rain account, either using your Ethereum Address or a QR code.

Method 1: Using the QR code 

  1. Open your external ETH wallet containing the funds you want to transfer.
  2. Click on the QR code icon in the wallet application.
  3. Hold the device camera over the Rain QR code. 

Method 2: Using your Ethereum address

  1. Copy your Rain ETH address under "Receive to".
  2. Open your external ETH wallet containing the funds you want to transfer.
  3. Paste the address into your external ETH wallet.

NOTE: Ethereum transfers take 10 minutes to 1 hour to arrive. 

Steps (Rain mobile app):

  1. Open the Rain app on your phone.
  2. Visit the market or portfolio page and select Ethereum
  3. Tap Trade and select Receive

There are two ways to receive Ethereum in your Rain account, either using your Ethereum Address or a QR code.

Method 1: Using the QR code 

  1. Hold the device camera over the Rain QR code. 

Method 2: Using your Ethereum address

  1. Copy your Rain ETH address in the field under "Share your address". 
  2. Open your external ETH wallet containing the funds you want to transfer.
  3. Paste the address into your ETH wallet containing the funds you want to transfer.
