How to send cryptocurrency from your Rain account

Rain provides an easy way for you to send your coins from your account to other relevant networks address.


Requirements:

1. Rain account with the desired coin to be sent. You will need a positive balance in your Rain Coins account to be able to send.
2. Receiving Address. You will need a valid and relevant coin network address to send your coin.

 

Steps (Rain website):

  1. Log in to your Rain account. 
  2. Click on Portfolio.
  3. Enter the selected coin amount you want to send or equivalent in the currency you have on your Rain account.
  4. Enter the desired coin address you are sending the funds to.
  5. Select the account you are withdrawing from. Click Preview Send.
  6. Review the information on the Confirm Send page. Click Send Now.
  7. Enter the additional information required. Click confirm.
  8.  Lastly, check the box “I confirm the beneficiary’s address belongs to the beneficiary” and click confirm.
  9.  You will receive a code to verify your transaction. Enter the SMS code sent to your phone. Click Submit.
  10.  You will receive an email confirming the success of the transaction.

Steps (Rain app):

  1.  Open the Rain app on your phone.
  2. Visit the market or portfolio page and select the coin you want to send
  3. Tap Trade and select Send 
  4. Enter the selected coin amount you want to send or equivalent in the currency you have on your Rain account.
  5. Enter the coin network address you are sending the funds to or you can scan the QR code. To learn more about the supported networks on Rain click here
  6. Click preview purchase.
  7. Review the transaction details. Click Send Now.
  8. Lastly, check the box “I confirm the beneficiary’s address belongs to the beneficiary” and click confirm.
  9.  You will receive a code to verify your transaction. Enter the SMS code sent to your phone. Click Submit.
  10.  You will receive an email confirming the success of the transaction. 
  11. You will receive a code to verify your transaction. Enter the SMS code sent to your phone. Click Submit.

What is the additional information requirement?

At Rain, we place utmost importance on the security of our customers' funds and transactions. To ensure this, we have implemented additional security measures. When you send funds from your Rain account, we will request additional information from you. It is crucial that you provide this information to the best of your knowledge, as it helps us enhance the security of your funds and secure your transaction. Rest assured, this process will not interrupt your send transaction; it is solely designed to safeguard your funds and ensure a secure transaction experience.

You can follow the instructions below for a seamless transaction:

  • If you own the account you are transferring funds to: check the box “Yes, I own this account” to proceed.
  • If you are sending to another exchange: check the box “Centralized Provided (Exchange)” and fill out the custodial name (name of the exchange). If you are not the owner of the receiving account, fill in the recipient's first name and the recipient’s last name.  
  • If you are sending to a self-hosted wallet: check the box “Self-hosted wallet”. If you are not the owner of the receiving account, fill in the recipient's first and last name.

Important notes:

  • When sending XRP, always check whether or not a destination tag or memo is required before sending XRP to any wallet. Make sure to always include the destination tag to avoid losing your funds. Click here to learn more about sending XRP from you Rain account.
  • Sending your cryptocurrency to a wrong addresses or an unsupported network will result in irreversible loss of funds. Make sure to check the address and network to avoid losing your funds.
  • Send transactions may take 10 minutes to an hour to be completed, depending on the network condition. You can always check the number of confirmations on your transaction by viewing the transaction details.
