How to open a Rain personal account

Opening a personal account on Rain? Here's how!

We gathered all the mandatory information with the needed requirements to assist you with a remarkable start to your crypto journey.

First, be ready with the following:

1. An Email address.
2. An active phone number to receive text messages.
3. Personal Identification document. (National identification card, Passport and a residency ID)
4. Tax ID.
5. Tax Residency Jurisdiction.
6. Proof of Address.
7. Liveness check. (Record a selfie clearly showing your face and follow the steps guided through the video)

Note: You need to be at least 18 years old to be eligible to open an account with Rain.

Hints & Tips:

• Kindly submit a clear live photo of the document using your phone camera. Scanned documents are not accepted.
• If you are submitting a National ID or a driver’s license, the front and back sides of the document will be required. 
• For the Proof of Address:

  • It must include your name and clearly state your full address, as P.O. Box addresses are not accepted.

  • You can submit a utility bill, bank statement, lease agreement, or any official document issued by the government that indicates your full address

How to register through web:

1. Visit our website rain.com or use our mobile application.
2. Input your email and click on Get Started.
3.  Enter your details in all boxes. Click Create Your Account.
4. Verify your email: You will be sent an email containing the link to confirm, click the link in the email. 
5. Verify your phone number: Enter the phone verification details to receive the verification SMS text message. then enter the code received in the SMS text. Click Submit.
6. Verify your Address: Upload your proof of address in PDF format then Click Send.
   1. P.O. Boxes are not supported.
7. Identity verification: In this step, you will be asked to provide a live photo of two forms of personal identification documents and record a selfie to verify your identity. 
8. Fill in the information about your occupation and the source of funds. 
9. Reviewing your application may take up to 12 hours.
